I started Roots in Mexico because I saw a need for honest, straightforward relocation support. Too much of what people see online sells a dream without talking about the realities of living abroad.

When I first came to Mérida, I felt a peace I’d never experienced anywhere else. My soul literally felt calm here. This land feels enchanted, or at least it does to me. It was also a great fit for my family, and I wanted to help others who felt drawn to Mexico navigate the process.

I’m not here to convince anyone to move. I’m here to help people understand how things work, avoid getting taken advantage of, and settle in while respecting the local Mexican people and their beautiful culture, which we have the privilege to learn from and be immersed in.
